First, I must say how beautiful everyone looks! Unfortunately, I will not be able to make the reunion - work calls. I work for the Alvin ISD Education Foundation and we are hosting, on the 9th, our first annual gala (fundraiser for the district). I have been married to John Purcell (class of '85) for 17 years. We have two wonderful daughters Elyssa (11) and Kelsey (11). I have remained in Alvin and will probably be here until I die since I'm married to the "man of no change." - ha For the past three years, I have worked for the AISD Education Foundation as a part-time assistant. I enjoy my job tremendously. It allows me to work around the girls school schedule, As I'm sure all of you with children know, it can get quite hectic with school, and sports - I am the official taxi driver! I hope everyone has a wonderful time getting reacquainted. I know I would love to see and visit with everyone. Thanks to all of you that have volunteered your time to make this event happen. P.S.: Remember Mr. McCauley (Sr. Government)? One of the new buildings at the AHS campus was named after him. Also,I get the pleasure of seeing him at least once a week. He is still very comical. Mr. McCauley is on the Foundation Board and he is now on the Board of Trustees for the district. If you are coming from out of town, I suggest that you take a drive down by the old AHS campus - it looks a bit different. Also, I would like to encourage all of you to consider joining the AHS Alumni Association - you can go on line to www.alvinisd.net / Alumni to get a membership form. Proceeds from membership dues go toward funding AHS graduate scholarships. Melinda |

I stumbled across this by accident, although I would LOVE to be there because I have NEVER known about any of the reunions, (guess thats what I get for moving to NC) but seeing that it is only two weeks away, I won't make this one either. I am glad to see that we are having another reunion.I was not able to make the last event and unfortunatly I will not be able to make this one either. Work is a beast and quite unforgiving.
